-The feel of this song is groovy and calming.
-The singers voice was tranquil, and you could hear him say love and had a lot of flow. The short and techno guitar noises also gave this song a techno feel.
-The song writer had to decide what beat is associated with the animated tone of the synthesizer.

Semeadors SOAPSTone
Subject- Hardworking low class person working hard.
Occasion- Doing what seems to be hard farm work in a big open field.
Audience- Lazy people who don't do hard labor that reap the benefits off the ones who really do it.
Purpose- To show how easy a lot of people have itg, and how much other people work for them.
Tone- Accusing and diminishing towards the ones who aren't doing work, but are getting something for nothing.
The meaning/theme of this painting is that it is not right how little work some people do, but they get more benefits, such as food, than the one's doing the labor. My support is the man watching has a satchel and the man working has nothing but a shovel and was working.

Wilco Song writing
Wilco's creative process to making a song is to come up with a basic beat or tune and then they deconstruct it tweak things to make it sound good, and then reconstruct it.
My Creative writing process is to come up with an idea through inspiration or a random coincidence, I then write down on a scrap piece of paper details that go with that. I then figure out what exactly I want to write about. Then I start a rough draft with the details as the paragraphs. Then I type it on the computer with more complete paragraphs and thoughts. Then I revise.

American Graffiti
Nostalgia is when you'd rather be living in the past than in the present
When I hear the song Rock around the CLock I think of several mice dancing around a clock in suits. I have always thought of that and I think it is because in my past I saw a movie and that was a scene.
Some things that come to mind when I think of my past is finger painting and eating goldfish crackers around the time when I was a kindergartener. I remember finger painting an elephant. I also remember eating the goldfish slowly and one at a time. I can taste and smell the warm artificial goldfish cheese, and can feel the cool paint through my fingers.

Pinch of Poverty
Three things that infulence and grow poverty is addiction to drugs/alchohol, unemployment, and limited education.
The artist portrays poverty as gloomy, he does so by the rainy enviroment and the sad faces he paints.
The artist's message about poverty is that there is hope that impoverished people can make it out, he also says that you can help.
Oney he conveys this message to me is by making the color of the baby's blanket stand out. The bright red blanket that the baby is in symbolizes hope that he may someday make it out of his bad situation. Also, another element, the girl is holding out her flower to sell, is a symbol for something you can do. These ways include donating, giving food, etc...

Should we beat poverty?
'Live Free and Starve', 'The Singer Soulution to World Poverty'. These are two essays with the same problem; the problem of poverty. Both authors are trying to stop world poverty, but they both have significantly contrasting opinions on how to prevent it. In 'Live Free or Starve' the author, Chitra Divakaruni, believes that these poor children should work in sweatshops to earn minimal pay, she gives a fairly resonable argument as well basically stating that it's better than getting paid nothing. However, in the other essay, 'The Singer Solution to World Poverty' the author, Peter Singer, offers a much faster, strategy. He offers that Families only spend money on neccesities and donate the rest. Some readers will have a bias against Singer because his tone of voice can be judgmental at timers. The way he supports his strategy is by telling anecdotes about greedy men watching children get hit by trains, and ultimitely making you feel guily. For example, in paragraph 14 Singer writes "I trust that many readers will reach for the phone and donate that 200$. Perhaps you should do it before reading furthur." Right there Singer assumed that most of hit audience would call to donate, he then went on to guilt you into calling by pretty much stating 'If you didn't donate then you don't deserve to read the rest of this.' I agree mostly with the first article by Divakaruni. Although it is not a particularly desireable existance for a young child her arguments make sense, and she also offered suggestions for what the government can do. For example, in paragraph 8 Divakaruni writes that, "A bill like [passed by Clinton that unemployed around a million kids] is of no use unless it goes hand in hand with programs that will offer a new life to these newly released children." This by far is the best solution and would change many lives.

'Round and Round'
Mr. Behler recently showed me a song I had never heard before. It was called 'Round and Round'. My opinion of this song was that it wasn't a great song and that I would not listen to it again. A lot of the reason I feel this way is because of some of the musical fact about this song. For example, I personally do not care for songs that change tempos periodically throughout the song. This song did exactly this, and therefore I had a bias against it. Another fact about this song is that more than one person was singing it, this also deterred me from the song. I have a bias against songs where more than one person is singing.
