Communist utopia
1. The walls are cracked and the trees are dead. Since everything is shared no one wants to take responisibility and fix the streets. The eyes all around the city show how no one can do anything without being noticed and there is minimal freedoms.
2. Communism can ruin a society and makes life grim and sorrow. Without individuals a nation would break down while advancing slowly. This is shown by the title, "Communist Utopia" and then the grey and black colors of the painting. The color tone indicates sorrow and unhappiness while 'Utopia' has a happy connotation.
3. The title is ironisc because the painting looks sad and dreary becuase of the color tone and the title has the word 'Utopia' in it which a Utopia means a perfect society and it is obvious this society is not perfect. The title is like this because a Communist society is meant to be a Utopia, but it never turns out exactally like one.
