This Land was made for you and me

-Gunthrie's message was individualist. It was obvious because he used 'I' and 'me' a lot, and the song seemed very much about the betterment of him and not as a group. He is focused on himself, he says 'I saw the green valley.'

-He is anti-government. He talks about how there isn't a tresspasing sign, and he is happy because of it. He also talks about 'if' the land was made for you and me, which suggests he thinks it may be the government.
