1. Personality traits likley to be ideal in a collectivist culture are loyal, dedicated, and trustworthy. In an individualist it would be more like hard-working, self-reliable, and assertive.
2. This is individualist because in a collective society people are more likley to be equal, but in an indicidualist society, it is more likley that someone will listen to a 'smart' person than a 'dumb' one.
3. An indicidualist teacher would teach like she is superior to the students and more controlling, while a collectivist teacher would focus on group activities and 'we' things. Also, she would be more submittive and it would cause internal and possibly external conflicts.
4. An acquaintance is someone you have met a few times before and are fairly familiar with. It has neither a negative or positive connotation because you wouldn't harras or be rude to an acquaintance, but you wouldn't invite them to the movies.
